March 2016 – September 2016

Creative Director

"Amber was a pleasure to work with. She is a very talented UX wiz, professional, and personable, and was a valuable and greatly missed member of the creative team here at Sphero. I can't recommend her enough to whatever lucky team gets to bring her onboard and unleash her wizardry upon the world. "

QA & Localization Analyst

"Amber is one of the hardest working and detail-oriented people I’ve ever met. We worked closely on Sphero’s Ultimate Lightning McQueen and her streamlined, well-crafted UX design docs were the constant foundation that grounded us as the product matured. This was the most technically complex products any of us had worked on with an extremely short production cycle and numerous unique challenges. Her ability to marry technical execution with a user-friendly experience was pivotal to bringing this vision to life.

Amber’s ability to shift focus in a fast-paced start-up company seemed so effortless that for most of my time working with her I had no idea she was actually an intern. She is always keeping her eyes open for opportunities of improvement and takes the initiative to solve problems you didn’t even know you had. Not only that but she’s one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, always exhibiting a positive mindset even when faced with tough challenges.

Whoever is fortunate enough to hire Amber next, they’re going to have one powerhouse of a UX designer on their team. "

UX/Product Designer

"Amber was an amazing UX Research Intern. She is observant, professional and always made play testers feel at ease during user testing sessions. Her insights are detailed and thoughtful and she doesn’t fail to go above and beyond what is expected of her. Definitely a pleasure working with Amber. "

Senior QA Analyst

"Amber and I worked together on the Force Band project which was an interesting piece of tech; controlling a droid not with a touch screen but with waves and pushes of your arm. She helped mold the design of the app and stayed very agile as changes were constantly being handed down to the team. She helped uncover our user's behavior to help with usability testing, which I greatly appreciated coming from the QA standpoint. Having her feedback was crucial in order to understand problems with existing UX design. Ultimately, the app was well received by the fans, and is a blast to play around with at conventions. I very much enjoyed working with Amber, she's great!

On a side-note, when my mom wanted recommendations on product design for her upcoming business, I pointed her to Amber, and my mom has very much enjoyed working with her also. If I'd recommend her to my mom, no doubt I would recommend her to you. "
